Roofing Weekend

Saturday October 10th

First, a close look at the siding.

It's pretty, but that's not what we're here to do.

The scary edges were already done, and the weekend crew was prepared to make fast progress. Present today... Mark B, Tom, Alan, Wes, and Mark W.

In this photo, Mark prepares the way, with Alan & Wes observing.

Here, we contemplate pulling back roofing straighten up the line...

More skilled labor applied to finishing out the rows of shingles.

This is where we finished on Saturday.

Sunday, October 11th

All of the roofing material you see in this picture was EXCESS!. Back to the ground it must go.

The lift (and Alan and Mark & Mark) get a workout sending the extras down.

Sarah showed up just as the last load was headed down, and we were ready to start finishing off the roof. Here you see the roof with all the tar paper in place, and the final courses of shingles in progress.

Mark and Sarah and the beautiful blue sky

The last two photos show the roof at lunch time (when the photographer headed home :( )

This side is very nearly done.

The other side has just a little ways to go.
