First Floor Framing

Since MarkB has been much too busy to update this.... I'll add a few pictures from my recent visit.

Thursday, August 21

The left side wall (not in picture) is done, and we're starting on the right side wall.

We got lots of wall building done, sent Aron on a wild goose chase to Seaside, and ate some pizza. Ravi was kind enough to make a delivery to Hillsboro for Mark W.

Tried to take an end-of-day picture, but it was getting dark, so it's a bit blurry:

Friday, August 22nd...

After we rearranged all the existing piles of yet to be consumed lumber and unloaded the big heavy beams from the truck, the plan for unloading these I-joists was "any way that gets them off the truck without us unloading them by hand". The dump off of the back of the truck missed the sewer pipe, but not by as much as anticipated. That strap around the upper bundle was supposed to keep it from sliding...

Mark and Aron, working hard near the end of the day, keeping the beams from floating away.

The back wall is almost done, and the front wall (not pictured) has just gotten started.
